About me
I am Kanzcech, a Wikipedian from Indonesia. I have been actively involved in Wikimedia movement since 2020 and made various contributions on Wikipedia and its sister projects. I mostly make edits on Indonesian and English Wikipedia, although also familiar with Wikisource, Wiktionary, and Wikimedia Commons.

Activities
2020-2021
During these years I first getting started to edit Wikipedia articles through WikiLatih Daring (online Wikipedia Training) organized by Wikimedia Indonesia.
2022
I became more active in the communities as a volunteer and contributor to the Wikipedia. I helped organize WikiGap 2022.
2023
In 2023 I was more active than ever. Joined Wikipedia competitions, kopdar (online and offline meetups), initiated a community, and participated in national and international Wikimedia conferences. All in all it was a fruitful year.
- WikiNusantara 2023: It was my first involvement in national Wikimedia conference organized by Wikimedia Indonesia. I presented ideas on how [to connect Wikimedia movement with higher education institutions in Indonesia] and led a discussion session on how [to introduce Wikimedia to HEIs].
- Wikimania Singapore 2023: My first time Wikimania ever! It was a wonderful event. I met a lot of great people from various Wikimedia communities and projects and forge deeper connections with them. I volunteered on WikiKata session by Wikimedia Malaysia User Group.
- KlubWiki Universitas Brawijaya: I organized a guest lecture by Wikimedia Indonesia team on Wikimedia movement and [WikiGap Universitas Brawijaya]. I initiated a university-based Wikimedia community in Brawijaya University, Indonesia called KlubWiki Universitas Brawijaya. The community was mostly run by university students. It was first established in October 2023 and eventually recognized and supported officially by Wikimedia Indonesia since July 2024.
2024
- WikiNusantara 2024: I had one presentation session, led a discussion session, and one lightning talk. The themes are broadly related on how to connect the Wikimedia movement to higher education sector and how to contribute more as a voluteer. Moreover, I also participated as a facilitator in edit-a-thon. [1][2][3][4][5]
- ESEAP Conference 2024: Representing KlubWiki UB in ESEAP Conference Kota Kinabalu 2024, I had a lightning talk on my experiences managing a university-based Wiki Club and raising students engagement on Wikimedia projects.[6]
- KlubWiki Universitas Brawijaya: In my capacity as the Board of Advisor (BoA) of KlubWiki UB, I attended and participated in several events, including, but not limited to:
- Bi-monthly Kopdar (offline/online meetups)
- Monthly community meeting
- Participant of WikiLatih Wikisource at Universitas Brawijaya
- Delegate to UNESCO X Wikimedia Indonesia Social Media 4 Peace Workshop Session in Yogyakarta[7]
- Trainer of Social Media 4 Peace Workshop at KlubWiki Universitas Brawijaya
- Local trainer assistant of WikiTutur 2.0 at Universitas Brawijaya[8]
- Advisor to Rapid Fund project WikiBility[9]
- Project manager of Rapid Fund project Wikidiplomasi. Wikidiplomasi is a project to improve the scope and quality of articles related to diplomacy and international relations on Indonesian Wikipedia.[10]
