there are 7 levels in the foreign language learning process. They are as follows:

0 No (or very little) knowledge of the language

1 False Beginner (knows several words or simple phrases)

2 Elementary (knows more words, very little grammar, several phrases)

3 Pre-Intermediate (starts to understand grammar)

4 Intermediate (can use words and grammar to make sentences)

5 Post-Intermediate (can speak and write sentences)

6 Advanced (one level before bilingual, but still makes a few mistakes)

7 Bilingual (speaks and writes as a native)
